Genesis 11:1
Episode Handout
Q. Why is the account of Babel important to us today?
A. We learn how God created the nations and the languages on Earth. Not evolutionary theory, not chance or random process.
1 Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words.
9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.
- This was both an act of God’s grace and judgement.
- God confused the languages at the Tower of Babel to enforce His command for humanity to spread throughout the entire world.
- God “cursed” the people with multiple languages – except that the curse can be seen more as a blessing, as the diversity and variety of creation was restored.
Genesis 11:1 (NASB) 1 Now the whole earth used the same language (tongue) and the same words (speech) = words, means same vocabulary. Dialect & accents = cultural/geographic
195 COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD

50% of mankind as of 2020 use only 15 languages
We’re reverting back to a one world government, one language, currency, no borders, no cash (bitcoin), no gender, no god.
