He understood compassion (vv.2-3) (Centurions not known for compassion, love for Jews or benevolence)
He understood hearing & doing (James 1:22) – When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant. (hearing/doing) Rom. 10:17
