Reviewing the Parables of Jesus that we have studied so far, part 1:

How to “Walk” these lessons out daily!
The Two Sons
True repentance is not about what you say or even how you say it, but what you do.
- Matthew 7:21-23 (NLT) 21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
The Unforgiving Servant
God values forgiveness because it is a direct expression of His nature.
- Ephesians 1:7 – He delights to forgive because it magnifies His grace.
The Persistent Widow/ Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector
True prayer: Both a “window” and a “mirror”
Biblical prayer reveals God’s nature to us (window) and revels our nature to us (mirror)
- Waiting cultivates deeper trust: Psalm 27:14 admonishes “wait on the LORD… be of good courage.” Waiting isn’t passive despair—but active trust.
The Workers in the Vineyard
Is God EVER unfair?
- Matt.20:12 12saying, ‘These last men have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorching heat of the day.’
- Ezekiel 18:25;29 (KJV) 25Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
The Rich Man and Lazarus
Faith in Scripture outweighs fascination with miracles.
- Luke 16:31 “If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets…”
