Elder Heath:

We don’t, but you do. Oh, God. And Lord, we’re looking to you right now, Father. Just to have your will, God. Bless each and everyone that is here. Lord, bless each and every one, each and every one of your people all over the world, not just in this country. And not just in two or three other. Countries, but all over the world. Father, because you know what they’re going through. And father, help us. Oh, God, to be our brothers. Help us. Oh, God, to look after one another. God help us to be concerned about one another. Have your way right now, father, and be so careful to give you all the honor and all the glory and all the praise because you’re worthy of it all and your blessed and your holy and your almighty. And we pray in Jesus name in Jesus, name in Jesus name. You know, God, God knows our needs and he knows our situations. He knows our conditions, he knows what’s going on in our lives. You know and. Those 3 songs.

Speaker:

You know.

Elder Heath:

God does bless us if we let him. If we believe that he’ll bless you. I mean, we can trust in God. The Lord is good forever. He really is.

Elder Heath:

The Lord is good forever. We’re not good. But we’re only good from his grace and his mercy and his goodness. Turn with me to Romans. We’re going to look at. The 5th chapter. Of Romans. God is good. All the time. We go through things and. We don’t think anybody cares or anybody.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

Is concerned about us. But you know what? God has always. Been concerned about us, yeah.

Speaker: 2

Yes. Yeah.

Elder Heath:

I’m going to be looking at verses one through 11. But the first verse we’re going to look at. Is verse 8. And my subject today. Is going to. Be and this is following what Pastor will has been talking about as well as. Elder Beechum and others elder ride. How committed are you? To Christ. How committed are you? To Christ. And my subtopic would be. The benefits? Of justification. The benefits? Of justification.

Speaker: 2

All right.

Elder Heath:

When you look at verse 8. It says, but God, I’m looking at the. King James version. But God commended. His love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us. God, but God commanded his love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners. Died for us. So we were sinners. We did not. Have anything to do with Christ? But he died for us. Because of our sins, yes. He died for us. Because there was no other way. He died for us. Otherwise, we’ll be on our way to hell. If he hadn’t died for us. Verse one says. Therefore, being justified by faith. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So each and every one of us that is. A child of God. We have peace with God. So if we have peace with God. Who else should we have peace with? We should have peace with man. But if we don’t have peace with God, we can’t have peace with man. That’s part of our being committed. To Christ. Verse 2 by whom? Also we have access. By faith. Somebody was talking about that today earlier. But we have access by faith. Because if you don’t have faith. You know, it says faith. Is the substance of things hope for the evidence of things, not things. By whom? Also, we have access by safe and to this grace. Wherein we stand. And rejoice. In hope of the glory of God. So we have faith. And somebody also talked about grace. We have grace. And we rejoice. And the hope of the glory of. God, you know why we rejoice? Because we are. Sons of God. We are his children. And we know even though you might go through things, even though things may happen in your life. God is still there for you. God is still there for you. God is still there for you. We might not feel it sometimes. We might be sick, but you know what? He’s still there.

Speaker: 2

Yes, yes, yes.

Elder Heath:

We might be having financial issues. You know what? He’s still there. We might be trying to do things. On our own. But you know what? He’s still there wanting us to turn it all over to him. But it’s so hard for us to do that. It’s so hard for us to really make that commitment to Christ. But God, he wants us to make that commitment to him. He wants us to be fully committed to him. He wants us to just turn everything over to him. He wants us to know and to have the benefits of justification. He wants us to know that we. Don’t have to worry about hell. All we have to worry about. Is heaven. Yeah, I was. I was saying I was yesterday I had a. A shirt on that said. That’s the island down in the Caribbean. And this guy was looking at the shirt. And he said. I’ve always wanted to go there and you know, I was thinking, I said, well, what if my shirt said heaven on it?

Speaker:

Right.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

How many people would want to say I? Always wanted to go there, you know? Instead of church, he says heaven, you know how many people would say I always wanted to go there. Well, you know what? We can go. There we don’t need a shirt fan heavy. Because of who we are. We can go to heaven.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

Heaven is there waiting for us. We just have to be committed. You know, I was. I was thinking that. Years ago, we were in the Boy Scouts. And the Boy Scouts motto is be prepared. Will knows about that. Because we’re in a Boy Scout and. Some of the things we did you you definitely had to be committed. Sometimes we had to be committed just to. Walk from our house. To the Boy Scout meeting because. Oh, some of the streets we had to go down. Remember Wabash? Yeah.

Speaker: 2

Yes, I do. If that’s good, I don’t want to read but.

Elder Heath:

God protected us. He kept us.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

We made it to Boy Scouts meeting with our dues because they wanted our dues. You know we we uh. We would go on hikes sometimes as a Boy Scout, you had to go on these long hikes. We went on the. Hikes, we were committed. We we did it. And then. Winter camp. We’re out in the tent and we just happen to be at winter camp one day with the coldest day of the year, and we stayed overnight in the tent. And but you know what, you. Got to be prepared if you got the right girl. Yeah, you don’t have to worry about frostbite. None of us got well, some people. Did, but we did. None of US 3. Michael will or me none. Of us got. We were able to stay overnight, got up that next morning they made some hot chocolate. After they thawed everything. Everything was blocks of ice, so they threw everything out. But we were OK. We were we were prepared. You gotta have the right gear. On we have as Christians we have to be prepared if we’re prepared. God can take us through anything. God can take us through anything. You know verse. And not only so. But we glory in tribulations also knowing that tribulation workers, patience. So if we’re not going through anything. We can’t have patience. If we’re, if God, if we’re not, and sometimes God takes us through stuff just to show us patience. But we always want to blame everything on. Well, if I if it wasn’t. For you, that wouldn’t happen. But you know what? We got to just stand up for Christ and we know we’re going to go through this stuff. These are things we’ve been talking about in in Bible class. Also, Pastor Wills been talking about it, but sometimes it’s good to keep going over stuff so that we. Can remember things. And not only so, but we glory and tribulations also knowing that tribulation, work of patience. And patience. You can’t have experience. If you don’t have patience. And experience hope. And you can’t have hope. If you don’t have experience. So all this works toward our justification. And hope Maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us. You know. I I think about Christians in other countries sometimes that don’t have the freedoms.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

That we have but. They take more advantage of being a child of God. Than we do. They actually do, and in some cases. They’re in situations where if the people, the leaders of their countries, found out, they were Christians. They could face death. I encountered we well, we actually encountered some people like that.

Speaker:

Couple weeks ago.

Elder Heath:

But that’s all I can say about that because I don’t want nothing to. Happen to him but. People in other. Countries go through things that we don’t. Even have to worry about. We can freely worship Christ with no repercussions. Well, they face repercussions. And you know what they do? They still worship Christ.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

They still set up churches. Because they know what they’re doing is eternal. We should feel that same way we should be committed.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

What we do is eternal.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

I want to be able to have that shirt on that says heaven. So that others can. See Christ in US.

Speaker: 2

Yeah. Yeah, but we gotta.

Elder Heath:

Show that we gotta let people see Christ in us with our lives, with the way we live, how we care. One for and. Other how we pray one for another, how we lift one another up, how we think about one another, how we pray for one another, you know, not just well. I’ve been praying for you. Don’t say I’ve been praying for. For somebody, actually do it. And then you know what, when you do actually do. It people can feel it. People can feel it. I’ve been praying for you. I love Sister Mary’s testimony. When she was talking about her brother. Now, in her mind, she’s been thinking about this. About her brother. Accepting Christ. So all of a sudden he’s praying for his sister at the hospital. That’s telling you something right there. Well, God works. Number one. He works in mysterious ways. He also works when we don’t even know he’s working.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

He’s doing things for us when we don’t even know he’s doing it. I mean, you hear about these cases where somebody was driving and if they would have turned one way versus another way they could have been an accident. You know why? That’s because God is looking out for us. We don’t know what he’s. Keeping us from. Every day, God is keeping us from things. He’s protecting us. He’s keeping us. I mean, it’s just, I mean, his grace and his mercy. You you people that have certain diseases, we pray and we’re we’re really praying. But you know what? God is working, right? God is working. We just have to believe that God is working. And verse six it says for when we were yet with our strength, that’s when we were sinners. In due time, Christ. Die for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet pre adventure for a good man some would even dare to die. And back to verse 8. But God commandeth his. Love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

Christ died for.

Speaker: 2

Us, yeah.

Elder Heath:

I’m going to do that first one. More time, but God. Commended his love toward us and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He did that while we were sinners, much more than being now justified by his blood. We shall be saved from wrath through him. He took all that sin. He took all that sin away. That’s why we don’t have to face the wrath. Of God. Right. Because he took that scene away from us.

Speaker: 2

Why? Why?

Elder Heath:

For if, when we were enemies. We were reconciled to God by the death of his son. Much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. We shall be saved by his life. We’re saved.

Speaker: 2

Right.

Elder Heath:

We’re saved because of Christ. Because of his grace. His mercy, not anything we’ve done, but because of his grace and his mercy, and not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received. The atonement. Or the reconciliation. The reconciliation. When sin broke that bond between God and man. The death of Jesus Christ. Brought that bond back. So now we have atonement with Christ. Also Soames. 37. Verse 5 says. Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in him. And he shall bring it. To pass. So he wants us to commit everything. To him. He wants us to, to give him everything. That relationship with God has been restored because of the death. Of Jesus Christ. Also, let’s see here. Galatians 220. I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. And the life which I now live in, the flesh I live by the faith. Of the son. Of God who loved me and gave himself for me. So we don’t live our lives for ourselves. We live our lives for Christ. We live our lives so that Christ can use us. Hebrews 12/1 and two. We’re forcing. We also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses. Let us lay aside every weight. And the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience, the race that is set before us. So when you look here and it says, let us lay aside every weight. In the physical terms. If you’re running the race. Well, we we were on the track team. And we have weights on our ankles and we walk around to weights on. But when it was. Time for your race. You take the weights off. Cause when you take the weights off. You can run. And it can make you run fast. Actually, that year we won the City Championship. We were. Undefeated that year, but. I’m not saying it had nothing. To do with me. But you know, it was probably. It was probably well so because him and Michael was on the team also, but.

Pastor Will:

Wasn’t me.

Elder Heath:

But you less side those weights you take those weights off and it allows you to feel lighter, you can run.

Elder Heath:

You know, that’s all part of that, that same commitment. Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily be said us, and let us run with patience. The race that is set before us. Looking in verse two looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher. Of our faith. Who for the joy that was set before him? Endured the cross. And despising the shame and a set down at the right hand of the throne. I’m going to do 1. And then I’ll sit down Romans. 6/6. Knowing this. That our old man is crucified with him. That the body of sin might be destroyed. That henceforth. We should not serve sin and because of what he’s done for us. We don’t have to serve sand anymore. He removed the sin from our lives.

Pastor Will

Right.

Elder Heath:

So now we have him. We’re free. We’re actually free indeed. And we’re free from sin because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and I. If you want to write these scriptures down and have some scriptures, you can. At later. Ephesians 3rd chapter. Verses 14 through 19. Colossians one. 17 through 22. Galatians 3. One through 4. First Timothy. And verse 10. Titus 3. Five through 7. First, Peter. First chapter. Verse 18 through 21. First Corinthians. The second chapter, the ninth verse. Oh and 2nd Corinthians. The 4th chapter verses 16 through 18. OK, we did Hebrews 12/1, and two Philippians chapter 3 verses 14 through 16. I know you’re going to ask me what? Is my Monday morning. You know, I’m gonna use Romans 5:8. But God commended him. His love toward us. And that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
