QAVAH: Psalm 37:34 (KJV) Wait on the LORD, and keep his way

Tie yourself to God’s promise Trust His timing

Endure the tension Expect His action

QAVAH & OCCUPY: How to Wait the Bible Way QAVAH (Hebrew) Isaiah 40:31

= to wait, hope, be bound together with God’s promise

OCCUPY (Greek) Luke 19:13 “occupy until I come”

= to do business, actively work, steward what you’ve been given

Micah 7:7 Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

QAVAH = faithful waiting OCCUPY = faithful working

Together they mean:

“Trust God’s timing while you work God’s calling.”

Jesus:

waited (qavah principle)

worked (occupy priniciple)

trusted the Father

Isaiah 40:28 – 31 (NLT)

28 Have you never heard? Have you never understood?

The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth.

He never grows weak or weary.

No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak

and strength to the powerless.

30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.

31 But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)

11For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
